Neurodiversity for Mindfulness Teachers is a 2 x 3-hour live online training in neuro-affirmative mindfulness teaching. It is designed to improve teaching clarity, flexibility, effectiveness, and inclusion, and reduce the risk of causing unintentional harm and retraumatising. Traditional mindfulness methods often overlook the specific sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs of neurodivergent individuals. This workshop moves beyond “one size fits all” teaching, supporting mindfulness without the need to “mask” or suppress authentic selves to fit a meditative mould.
For qualified mindfulness teachers, supervisors and retreat facilitators who want a clear framework plus practical tools you can use immediately.
What to Expect
We use the Seven Spokes of The Skilful Teaching Wheel (based on the MBI:TAC) as our roadmap. The session blends:
- Didactic Teaching: Understanding different neurotypes and perspectives.
- Practical Frameworks: Key considerations for the pre-course, mid-course, and post-course phases.
- Interactive Learning: Small group activities, personal reflection, and Q&A.
Deze workshop wordt gegeven in het Engels (Christoph Spiessen spreekt ook Nederlands).
